Yep, its well and truly here, spring that is, the sun has been streaming through the clouds the temperature has climbed into the high teens. The result, boat owners have been streaming down to the port to get their boats ready for the season and those like us who have been here all winter are getting really itchy to get cruising, Peter and Angela and Kes on Kotare are off at the end of the week and we will be off to Blanzy next week to do some painting as the quay there is more suitable for painting than the pontoons we are moored to here.
After our little trip to Blanzy next week we will return to England for a few days before setting off ourselves around mid April. Our first stop will be at Ganny where we will have two extra batteries fitted which should make us more independent during the season. After that we will meet up with friends at the bottom of the Nivanais canal and then began what hopefully will be a glorious summer of cruising.
Tonight a few of us will enjoy a’ Paddy’ night out at a local bar and there is a band playing traditional Irish music should be a hoot.
