Wednesday 3 October – St Leger- winter mooring

We are here and settled.  The weather is still great and it was very tempting to go off for a final cruise up the canal Lateral. However, we started making one of those, ‘to do lists’ that went on to 2 A4 sheets of paper, so we just started to get on with jobs off the list.

We are very lucky because It is great here, nice clean quay which is well maintained, strong electric and nearby water.  Quiet at night, no night club, take note Montceau, friendly and helpful staff at the Marie, good places to walk the dog, nearby large supermarkets, and a good lidl and Brico -Marche. What’s not to like.

The best thing about this place is the glorious sunrises and sunsets, simply magnificent.

A beautiful sunset reflected in the boat

 A  misty sunrise

Another sunset with some amazing colours

Sunrise this morning.
The local ducks also pay us a visit every morning, got any bread?
