The further adventures in ‘Me Van Oui, Snowbird’

We are into our 3rd week since we left the boat and now settled onto a campsite near Portimao on the Algarve in Portugal.

On the way here we stopped at the beautiful town of Silves for a few days.  A really lovely town steeped in history and beautiful buildings.

An exotically decorated cafe we stopped at for coffee and cake

A rare picture of both of us together taken by a friendly passer by

The impressive indoor market in Silves

Arriving at our campsite near Portimao and attempting to erect our awning for the first time!

Luckily help arrived in droves and we soon got it  up and fully functioning

there are a number of friendly dogs on site and they seem to attracted to our tent

The local village has several cafes, bars and restaurants and we enjoyed a nice lunch at one yesterday.

The weather has really perked up in the last few days with unbroken sunshine and good temperature, it still gets a bit cold at night but it is still very comfortable in the van.

A view of the chicken run campsite on the way back from the village.

Time to chill out in the sun after the walk into the village, that will do!!

    Greetings from Roscommon:
It’s good to see that you both seem to be coping reasonably well with the awful stresses and pressures of everyday life! You should give life classes. Enjoy it guys 😉
