Moving house/boat.

We have made the move from Decize to La Chapelle, where we were last winter. We set off early Monday morning and had a trouble free day covering 35 kilometers mostly in the pouring rain but still enjoyable. Goodbye to the canal  de Nivernais  and the friendly lock keepers , they may have waved too  enthusiastically!! we awoke on Tuesday...

Back home as another cruising season draws to a close.

We arrived on our winter mooring in fine weather and a full moon. Clear skies and a full moon gave a us a big hello. The season was not quite over when Bernadette and Henk arrived on their lovely barge we managed to  spend a few sunny days sharing stories and a few laughs. They finally went on their way...

Starting for home

We have had a busy year on the boat, traveled many Kilometers, operated numerous locks,  met  up with lots of friends, eaten too much, drunk about enough, well …its been a good year.
