A lovely gentle trip down the canal Lateral to La Chapelle-Montlinard (near La Charite) where we will spend this winter.
moorings are still busy, above is the Halte at Cours les Barres, never seen it this busy even in the height of summer
The plan is to spend September doing winter preparing jobs on the boat, and sorting out the camper van, still not functioning as we speak. Then hopefully in October take the camper-van out and about.
Yesterday an English couple arrived took out of the boot of their car a large bag and unpacked it and started to inflate the contents. Soon a inflated kayak appeared and off they paddle for a gentle afternoons boating.
We are happy with out new mooring and Gladys is relaxed and enjoying the glorious autumn weather.
