Giving the boat a lick of paint

It was forecast to be a great week for weather and so it proved. The task of painting the boat ready for the season could be put off no longer so we moved the boat up the canal to the small village of Blanzy where the quay is more stable than the pontoons at Montceau
What a  great week, the sun shone continually and the villages were very pleased to see us and made us very welcome.  The electric was connected but no water yet but we had a full tank so no worries.

It was also good to see the canal with some pleasure boat activity, even saw two hire boats so very early in the season.

Having completed half the boat we returned to Montceau with the intention of going back to Blanzy this week to do the other side, but the weather is changing now with rain forecast for most of this following week.  Hopefully we will be able to get back to Blanzy before we go back to the UK as when we return we will be off on our cruising exploits.
