gathering winter fuel
The weather has been unseasonably warm, but with November just around the corner it seemed wise to cut up a load of logs for the wood burner.
followed by a nice lunch on the deck, supervised by Gladys
We have also been stripping out the remains of the summer crops , and preparing and planting the winter beds with onions and strawberries, seems odd but strawberries planted now will produce early crop next spring.
Our new strawberry bed.
notice the recycled bird scarers, blown up wine box inners.
Still living on the boat until we get permission to live up the field and we have our own tame swan
and some excellent sunsets.

Gosh you’ve been busy since I last popped in here. I like to hear you’re still living on the boat. It would be too much of a change to think of you as complete landlubbers! Love your veggie beds!

It’s OK still living on the boat at least for the winter , no decisions yet about next summer . Hopefully will get some cruising in before being complete landlubbers
