Day 65 –Montceau-les Mines – Canal du Centre- Sunday 19 June

We have had a busy few days in Montceau. Terry has had her teeth done, we have booked the dry dock at Decize for next week and we have almost sorted out the car registration, French administration notwithstanding.

Also managed to sort out the stern flag poles and install some new flags.

Off tomorrow to meet the deadline of getting into the dry dock by Friday. We will stop off in Gannay to pick up the paint for the bottom and other bits and pieces for use whilst we are in the dry dock.

We are looking forward to getting the boat into and out of dry dock and getting Gladys to the vets to have her little operation. By the 1st July we should be fully ship shape and ready for the rest of the summer cruising.

We have heard from Ian and Sue our Aussie mates who are due over mid-July and hopefully we will meet up for trip down to Lyon. Also Simon and Lou are coming over from the UK for a little holiday in late July, and Harry and Marion from Ireland will hopefully take a rest from building their new business and come over for a few weeks for a bit of R&R. Looks like being a hedonistic July.
