Clamecy to Villeneuve-sur-Yonne
The weather has vastly improved with glorious warm sunshine for most of the day and this makes the whole cruising experience delightful and makes you realise why you decided to do this in the first place.
Since leaving Clamecy we have had some superb weather and met up with some lovely people ,Martin and Fiona, and there basset hound Louis who is very fond of Gladys.
Looks really miserable but is a very friendly dog
The weather just got better and better but the wildlife was there all the time.
A seat for lovers? near Auxerre
The lock keepers come in all shapes and sizes !
The Yonne river , so peaceful, and sublime, whats not to love.
They are trying to get it right on the Yonne river, this is the new moorings at Gurgy, also very popular with camper vans.
We finally made Villeneuve and went out for a beer in a local cafe where Gladys made friends with a 7 month old baby, Mum, baby and Gladys all happy .
and finally a great sunset at Villeneuve, it does not get much better. happy days.
