More field work.

Posted from Lamenay-sur-Loire, Bourgogne-Franche-Comté, France.

The weather is really hot up the field with little or no shade, so the tendency has been to get up the field early and stop soon after lunch.

We have completed  the building of the vegetable and herb patch ( The Potager)

now I just have to build numerous raised beds, built out of pallets.

We now have a  small trailer so I was able to pick up some tyres to plant up potatoes in stacks.

The concept of  growing area is a recycling space, using as many discarded items that would otherwise go to landfill.  Not always possible but where we can we will.

Next job after the Potager was to secure the field against escaping Gladys and  any unwanted animal visitors

We have been warned that the weather can be very fierce in the summer,  I am beginning to believe it!! , and its only May.

Hi you hard working Terry’s and of course, Gladys. We are exhausted just reading and seeing what you intend to do. Here were we thinking you were going sedately along the canals at your leisure. The pounds will come whizzing off now Terry without any diets. We wish you well and hope you will soon be up and running your site. xx
